Three Kingdoms Mods
Group Projects
Team work in modding can be quite rare and challenging to pull off, but its extremely rewarding if you do.
DW9 Startpos
This overhaul was an extremely ambitious ahead of its time project. I joined the team shortly after launch.
Team : Zades, Tak, Lethargic
At the time we had more subs than the other overhauls MTU etc. What we wanted to do besides general startpos changes was make unique models and portraits for 10x the amount of officers MTU has done to date, and we were doing pretty well. The insane thing we pulled off was to allow the player to run other portrait mods - including MTU, Puzzle , etc and our startpos mod would support all of those portraits, this way we were not ripping or using anyone else's art. If the player did not run these mods, the unique characters would default to generic portraits. We did this by creating unique armors in the ceodata and generic models (and unique ones). Based on load order of the mods, certain models and portraits would be picked up over others.
This way no trivial task, and source control was mostly handled by Zades. When CA pushed new changes to the AK it basically killed our project due to the large effort to merge these changes. Zades was able to handle this and we successfully did what we set out to do, but we burned out as Zades and I both took a break from modding at the same time.
This project helped Tak make the massive General overhaul you see on the workshop today.
Search Assignment
Highly innovate event mod driven by the assignment system. Allows the player to perform a new type of assignment that has the chance to generate many different types of immersive events. Highly inspired by Koei's ROTK.
I reached out and collaborated with writer / fellow modder DonkeyWorld to help make this mod feel more immersive.
(Unreleased) A lua scripted event mod that I've spent over 250+ hours programming which makes the game more historical and less of a sandbox
I regularly collaborated with YT streamer SeriousTrivia to make sure i have the timeline right. Brainstorming with him helped me to translate very complex moments history into in limited game environment. Some examples of this mainly consisted of where this character would be during X year and why. If a province doesn't exist on the map, how to handle region ownership on flavor texts etc.
I worked with 3 writers and fellow modders for this, BAB, DonkeyWorld, BobRoss. We did not have great organization at first, sending packs back and forth, but once I finally set up a google drive worksheet for us, workflow was greatly improved.
This mod was also born out of an earlier collaboration called "Behave Character Movement" which was started by me and BenedictTW , who stopped modding.
This mod got absolutely nuked with CA's final update because it changed something with the lua API I extended and I haven't had time to look into it.

Translation Mods
I've been fortunate enough to have a solid enough following that a few Chinese modders have taken it upon themselves to translate my mods . I work with them regularly to schedule updates, explain changes and get them early access to new content.
We've used google drive worksheets to support us.
